Information Awarness and Experience of Common People with Food Allergy
Stropková, Romana ; Hošťálková, Monika (advisor) ; Strnadová, Alice (referee)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the problems of the food allergies. The aim was to discover how much the population is informed in this field, if the population has experienced the food allergies, having found the symptoms present on themselves or their friends, family. And finally the awareness of these allergies in a family taking care of an allergic person is studied. In the theoretical part the definitions of the food allergies and similar reactions are explained. It is followed by anatomical and physiological descriptions of digestive and immune systems which are closely related to the food allergy. The causes and symptoms of the food allergies, diagnostics, treatment and prevention are integral to the theoretical part. The importance of probiotics and prebiotics which differs in scientists' opinions and in results of scientific studies is also studied. In the end of this chapter a new antigen and the education of the general public are mentioned. In the empirical part the characteristics of research assignment and methods of the research are described. I chose a questionnaire as a method for data collection. I deal with the results of the questionnaires in this part too. Research shows that the majority of respondents knows what the food allergy is and have an idea of its causes and...
Comparison of the Digestive Systems and Food Intake of the Angolan Colobus Monkey and Ruminant Even-toed Ungulates
Vika, Radoslav ; Vančata, Václav (advisor) ; Řezníček, Jan (referee)
The Dissertation treats the exacting wards of the zoological gardens - Colobus guereza, Colobus angolensis and Colobus polykomos. The first part summarizes the knowledge of breeding especially in our zoological gardens. Special attention is payed to feeding which is considered as a limiting factor of breeding. The following part compares morphology of the digestive tract of the Colobinae with the other herbivores and with the other monkeys, especially from the point of view of morphology. In the end of the Disseration, an informative experimental observation of cellulose (roughage) digestion is described. Key words: multiple-compartment stomach, Angolan colobus, artiodactyls, digestive system, cellulose digestion
Probiotika ve výživě hospodářských zvířat
Veselá, Veronika
The thesis deals with probiotics in the nutrition for farm animals and their impact on the organism. The introductory part describes the digestive tract of cattle and pigs, their anatomy and physiology. The following section introduces other ways of how to improve the digestion of these animals. Then, after an overview of other possible ways of supporting the digestive processes, the probiotics and prebiotics are discussed from the viewpoint of their effect on the digestive tract. Probiotics are very important in the nutrition of animals, for they are microorganisms that have a positive effect on the general state of health (i.e immunity, the ability to convert nutrition, etc.). The last section gives an overview of the prices and dosages of a few selected probiotics used in farming.
Vliv probiotik na zdravotní stav králíků
Matoušková, Anna
This bachelor thesis summarizes knowledge about probiotics and their effect in animal organism with focus on rabbits. In recent years probiotic microorganisms have been increasingly used in livestock and breeding pet animals. They are mainly used as feed additives to prevent, improve the immune system, treat diarrhea, and improve overall health. The next part of the thesis defines the concept of health, describes the physiology of the gastrointestinal tract of the rabbit and focuses on the natural microflo-ra of the internal environment of the digestive system. The main task is to focus on the influence of probiotic microorganisms on maintaining and improving the ideal health of rabbits, their action and interaction with beneficial and pathogenic microorganisms natu-rally contained in the gastrointestinal tract. At the end of the thesis there are listed forms and applications of probiotic preparations, as well as a list of some products used in rab-bit nutrition.
Acidóza bachorového obsahu u různých kategorií skotu
Lukášková, Simona
This bachelor thesis “Rumen acidosis in different categories of cattle“ is divided into five basic chapters. The first chapter of the work contains a general, morphological and physiological description of the digestive tract in adult cattle and calves. This chapter is followed by further subchapters concerning the development of the digestive tract in calves. The next part of the work is digestion and metabolism of the basic nutrients (carbohydrates, nitrogenous substances and lipids) in the prestomach of both these categories. The last chapter deals with the main topic of this bachelor thesis of rumen acidosis in adult cattle and calves, their etiology, pathogenesis, symptoms, diagnosis, therapy, prevention and influence of acidosis on milk composition.
Vliv typu krmné diety na parametry vnitřního prostředí psů
Řepková, Magdalena
The bachelor thesis called „Effect of type of feed diet on parameters of internal environment at dogs“ deals with problems connected with suitable choice of feeding diet for dogs. In the first part of the thesis, the digestive tract of canine carnivores is described in detail, as well as enzymes acting in the digestive tract and subsequent processes of nutrient absorption. The second part of the thesis is focused on the division of feed diet based on the structure of feed. The work reveals their positives and negatives that are involved in the choice of diet. The methods are supplemented by scientific studies. The next part of the thesis describes the planned procedure of own experimental work, which could help to evaluate the effect of diet change on selected parameters of blood plasma of dogs. This evaluation would be supplemented by the results of coprological tests in these dogs at the beginning and at the end of the surveillance. The aim of this work is to objectively evaluate these methods of feeding supported by research and scientific work and to inform the public about this issue.

Passive dispersal of land snails (Gastropoda: Pulmonata) with focus on endodispersion via birds
Simonová, Jasna ; Juřičková, Lucie (advisor) ; Pech, Pavel (referee)
The ability of land snail active dispersal is very limited. Despite that, they have colonized even very isolated habitats and some species are able to disperse relatively fast on continental scale. This used to be explained by passive dispersal, especially via birds. Land snails could be transported on bird's body (ectodispersion) as well as inside their digestive tract (endodispersion), but the direct evidence of these processes has been more likely anecdotal. A review concerning passive dispersal of land snails via birds with focus on endodispersion is presented in this bachelor thesis. The methodological aspects of experimental studies, including relevant insights of other organism's endodispersion studies, are discussed. Selected traits of land snails and their avian vectors which can affect success of endodispersion are also discussed.
